Dr. Thomas Vogl

Thomas Vogl leads a research group at the Medical University of Vienna in Austria. He investigates the interactions between the immune system and the microbiome. This is done using advanced experimental techniques, such as robotic systems capable of measuring immune responses on a large scale. The resulting data are analyzed with methods developed to process complex datasets and identify patterns. In an earlier, smaller study (Vogl et al., 2022, Science Advances), he used these techniques to identify differences between people with ME/CFS and healthy controls. Within ME/CFS Lines, this study will be expanded.
